Nikhilesh Vaid

SUBSTANTIAL Aligner User

Professor Nikhilesh R Vaid is the President of the World Federation of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the Edward H Angle Society of Orthodontists- North Atlantic Component. He is a former Professor and Vice-Dean of the European University College in Dubai, UAE and has a Private Practice in Dubai and Mumbai, India. He has widely published and edited journals including the «Seminars in Orthodontics» on four occasions and was the Editor in Chief of “ APOS Trends in Orthodontics» from 2010-20. He’s currently Editor Emeritus of the same.

He’s published more than 100 peer reviewed papers and text book chapters and has lectured in more than 50 countries around the world.

Dirk Wiechmann

Prof. Wiechmann has been in private practice since 1998 in Bad Essen, Germany, which is actually the biggest lingual practice in the world with more than 800 lingual patients in active treatment. From 2002 to 2011 he was the Scientific Director of the postgraduate diploma program in Lingual Orthodontics at the University Paris 7 in France. By 2006 he had also become Scientific Director for the postgraduate MSc. program in Lingual Orthodontics at the Hannover Medical School, Germany. In 2011 he received the honorary prize of the French Federation of Orthodontics. He received his Ph.D. in 2011 with his paper: Different aspects of a completely customized lingual appliance. Since 2013 he is a Professor in Orthodontics at the Hannover Medical School.

Björn Ludwig

HYBRID Aligner User

Björn Ludwig maintains a private orthodontic practice in Traben-Trarbach, Germany. He is Assistant Professor at the University of Homburg/Saar, Department of Orthodontics. His focus of research work is skelettal anchorage and 3D imaging. He has published more than 200 peer reviewed clinical and scientific articles and is editor of several books. He is editor in chief of the Quintessenz publication “Kieferorthopädie” (Orthodontics). He is also associate editor of the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
